Making almond milk for the first time.
First I blanched a cup of almonds in boiling water, then squeezed them out of their skins when they had cooled. The peeled nuts went in the blender with about three cups of water and a little splash of agave for sweetening, and that made a very rich milk. I just used a strainer instead of a piece of muslin like some people recommend, and it worked fine and was very quick. I couldn’t believe how easy this was, I’ve been making it all the time.
